It is no coincidence that our animal friends are here with us today, for they choose us. It is their choice to personify themselves in an animal form so as to help us along our chosen spiritual paths. Their job is to guide us and teach us many of life’s lessons.
Some of our animal companions have already lived many, many lives with us, and may even have been in a human form with us before. Therefore they are well equipped to lead us in the direction of our soul’s choice. They act as our Spirit Guides, Magickal Partners, and best friends.
Most animals are powerful be-ings who have chosen to live lives as either domestic or wild animals so that they can teach humans that they are sentient beings and that they really do have souls, and should be treated with the utmost respect. The Divine spark is present in every being, connecting us all to Source.
The concept of animals as pets is a relatively modern one. Before dogs-in-purses became popular, anyone who believed in interspecies friendship often found themselves being condemned for witchcraft simply for owning or caring for a demonic creature like a cat, rabbit, black dog, snake, bird, or frog.
Today these animals are domesticated and seen as a familiar sight in almost every home.
