Being a witch is controversial. So many people want to have a dig at you with their ignorant comments. They just don't get how you could've strayed so far off the beaten path.

But what they don't realize is that you've simply forged your own path. You've made your own way in this world by overcoming plenty of things that should've broken you. You've relied on your inner strength and your street smarts to get you through the tough times.

The path you're on is built upon your own blood, sweat, and tears - not anyone else's. People hear the word 'witch' and they immediately think of 'evil' or 'ungodly'. But to be a witch means to be self-empowered, to be compassionate, and to live in harmony with nature.

You're a witch because you actually give a damn - about yourself, about your business, about your people, and about the earth.

You're a witch because you had the power within you to rise up from the depths of despair, look Hades in the eye and claim 'Not today'!

I've made a bold realization that I haven't been s

I've made a bold realization that I haven't been showing up on social media as my true self.
I've blurred the lines somewhat as I tried to assimilate into the American culture, especially where my language and beliefs are concerned. So from now on, instead of responding with 'YES', I'll be responding with 'JA' - just like I say at home. And I’m bringing back my accent! I may be an American now, but I'm still South African at heart. I'm sure people will still understand me, ja né?
